This collection primarily contains photographs of church construction, church interiors, church models, religious processions and ceremonies in New Mexico. Video includes images of the 1929 plane crash on Mt. Taylor, New Mexico, California missions, priests and school children in Gallup, New Mexico. Also included are zinc halftone blocks.

Carol Sullivan (b. 1935), anthropologist and human rights activist, was a member of the anthropology faculty at Syracuse University, New York, when she went to the Pine Ridge Reservation, South Dakota, to witness the takeover of Wounded Knee by members of the American Indian Movement (AIM) in 1973. In 1981 Carol Sullivan worked on a New Mexico Humanities Council sponsored project on early Grants, San Fidel and San Rafael. While looking for photographs she met with Fathers Gerard Geire and Kenneth Robertson at the San Fidel church to look through Father Agnellus Lammert's collection.
